The processing of Zinc alloys (ZAMA) requires cutting-edge technological solutions to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety. Jodovit, with its constant commitment to developing innovative products, offers cover and release agents to meet the most advanced needs of die-casting foundries

ZAMA: A Versatile Alloy for Industrial Applications

ZAMA is a non-ferrous alloy with a high Zinc content, combined with small amounts of Aluminum, Magnesium, and Copper. This composition ensures:

  • High hardness and mechanical strength.
  • Good ductility and ease of processing.
  • High fluidity and low melting point (380°C ÷ 450°C).

Thanks to these properties, ZAMA is ideal for the production of complex and high-precision components in sectors such as:

  • Automotive
  • Construction
  • Electronics

Cover Fluxes for Zinc Alloys

Cover fluxes are essential for improving the quality of the liquid metal and optimizing the production process. Jodovit offers two main types of fluxes:

  1. Cover and Cleaning Fluxes: suitable for clean alloys, they ensure effective protection of the liquid metal, improve furnace cleanliness, and reduce slag formation.
    • Solvent-free synthetic product.
    • Keeps the furnace clean and produces dry, metal-poor slag.
    • Recommended usage: 0.5% ÷ 1%.
    • SCOREX ZN 1:
  2. Cover and Slagging Fluxes: ideal for alloys with recovery, they facilitate the removal of unwanted elements in the melting bath.
    • SCOREX ZN 3:
      • Helps eliminate impurities and produces dry slag.
      • Recommended usage: 0.5% ÷ 1%.

Release Agents for Zinc Alloys

Jodovit's release agents are designed to facilitate the removal of parts from molds, reducing surface defects and increasing mold longevity. They are available in two categories:

  1. Water-based release agents

To be diluted before use, they are ideal for medium to large-sized parts. They ensure an excellent surface finish and leave no residue.

LUBRAX ZN 4602:

  • For medium to large castings.
  • Recommended dilution: 2%.

LUBRAX ZN 5160:

  • For large and challenging castings.
  • Recommended dilution: 1.5%.
  1. Ready-to-use release agent

They do not require dilution and are ideal for fast production cycles. Composed of light oils, they leave no residue and have a low environmental impact.

  •  LUBRAX ZN 11:
    • Suitable for medium to small castings.
    • Excellent for fast cycles in hot chamber.
  • LUBRAX ZN/2 VDE:
    • Optimal for Multi-Slide cycles.
  • LUBRAX ZN P:
    • High lubricating power and low environmental impact.
    • Micro-dosing application.
