Available Versions

Jodovit’s SHELL:X range includes various formulations designed to meet the specific needs of aluminium foundries.

  • The base product, SHELL:X, is a standard coating for tools, characterised by high durability and a medium lamellar structure, to be applied at temperatures between 180 and 200°C.
  • SHELL:X 11 offers excellent release properties, with a fine, lamellar formulation.
  • SHELL:X 14 is ideal for insulating channels and risers thanks to its high strength and medium lamellar structure.
  • For the automotive sector, SHELL:X 64 ensures good insulating capacity for components such as discs and propellers, while SHELL:X 64 HT is designed for the same applications but at higher temperatures, up to 450°C.
  • SHELL:X 72, with a fine, lamellar structure, is optimal for mass production thanks to its high abrasion resistance.
  • Also intended for the automotive sector, SHELL:X 78 provides medium insulating capacity with a granular structure.
  • SHELL:X 174 is a high-adhesion base coating suitable for all types of moulds and usable across a wide temperature range (180–450°C).
  • The range is completed by
    • SHELL:X BN 99: Boron nitride-based coating with a fine, lamellar structure. Offers advanced release effect between the ceramic shell and the casting. Designed for low-temperature application (50–150°C).
    • SHELL:X BN 33: Boron nitride-based coating with added ceramic materials. Fine and lamellar in structure, it ensures advanced release performance between the ceramic shell and the casting. Designed for low-temperature application (50–150°C).
